6.MOUTH(3Functions)*(iii)Source of Compliment:Another great quality a leader must possess is the ability to give compliment when his followers carry out a task.Many people are ignorantly failing in this aspect.Many believe since its the right of their surbodinate to perform a task,there will be no need to eulogize them when an assignment is carried out brillantly.It is always easier to reprehend when they fail in their obligations than to compliment them when they do better.This demoralizes your followers.When you compliment,it energizes your people to go extra mile and get the deal done which brings in more productivity which in turn brings in more accolades for you as a leader.You should not be the type who sees nothing good in his workers,then you are not a leader.As much as you punish them,you are under obligation to appreciate them.I was privileged to attend 2014 Vitafoam Annual chairman's award where there members were complimented and as well rewarded for their exceptional performances.Despite the fact that i dont work in the organisation,i thought within me that i will put in my best to win the award if i find myself here.Then what will be in the mind of the worker if that is in the mind of a guest?Yoruba Adage says "Welldone makes the work done faster"We have erroneously believe a worker will only perform better under strict supervision.It is not always applicable in all cases.Speak well of your surbodinate,Be proud of them in the presence of everyone.Are you a leader in your church,a committee leader,head of an organisation.That is another secret to be a great leader.HAVE A NICE day
